Setting up Email Alerts with File and Device Activities

AccessPatrol can send out alerts when unauthorized devices and file activities are occurring such as connecting personal devices and/or transferring confidential files.

These alerts are sent via email which is configured on the CurrentWare console. For instructions on how to configure the email settings, you can read our knowledge base article here.

Email alert lets you monitor the file and device activities on your managed endpoints. Send an email alert to authorized personnel when a user violates a company device access policy.

Email Alerts by Files

Get an email sent to a recipient when your managed endpoints perform a specific file operation on their storage devices.

File Operations include: Created, Copied, Deleted, Saved as, Uploaded, Downloaded and Renamed

Wildcarding: The file alert can use wildcards. You can enter a common word like ‘financial’ and it will provide you an alert with any document with the word ‘financial’ in the name. This could be helpful for a common keyword for sensitive data.
