By Use Case
CurrentWare has the flexibility to enforce policies on computers even when they are outside of the network.
The client agent installed on the computer has the ability to restrict the device even if it does not have a connection with the CurrentWare Server.
The client agent stores and enforces the policies locally on the device. No matter which network the computer is connected to, CurrentWare will be able to control and monitor Internet browsing with BrowseControl and BrowseReporter and restrict devices with AccessPatrol.
Note: If you wish to update policies on client agents outside of the network they will need to be able to communicate with the CurrentWare Server.
To keep your CurrentWare clients connected and communicating with the CurrentWare Server, you must configure port forwarding rules. For more information on port forwarding, you can read our knowledge base article here.
