BrowseReporter has a feature called Tracking Scheduler that enables you to schedule specific tracking times. Collecting information at all times may be unnecessary. This tool is useful when you want to monitor and track employees’ internet and application usage during business hours only.
Through the URL Tracking Scheduler, you can schedule the date and time range for collecting Internet browsing activity and application usage data. Outside of these schedules, no data will be collected. This helps to maintain the database size and eliminate “noisy” data. Below is an example of how to use the URL Tracking Scheduler.
Scenario: Track URLs only during work hours
Predefined work hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
BrowseReporter will track Internet activities only during work hours.
- Launch the URL Tracking Scheduler by selecting URL Tracking Scheduler
under the BrowseReporter tab on the right-hand side of the CurrentWare
- Click on the Add button.
- Select Daily.
- Set the start time at 9:00 AM and the stop time as 5:00 PM.
- Click on Add Schedule.
- Click on Enable Scheduler.
- Click on Apply.
- BrowseReporter will now only track the Internet activities of the computers or users in this group during the scheduled time.
