CurrentWare Components

CurrentWare Server

This component includes the server service and the database. The database houses all the CurrentWare policy configurations, settings and tracked activity data. The CurrentWare Server is the central hub for the CurrentWare Consoles and the CurrentWare Clients to connect to.

You can host your CurrentWare Server locally within your network to work locally and remotely. You can also host your CurrentWare server through a bring-your-own cloud setup by installing CurrentWare on a cloud services provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

CurrentWare Console

Our management console is an IIS-hosted web console. Find more information here.

This component is the management console that the administrator uses to control the functionalities of the CurrentWare Solutions. The administrator will be able to modify policies/settings, run activity reports and monitor client connections within the CurrentWare Console. This allows you to conveniently and efficiently manage your clients from anywhere on your local network as well as improve the administrative management experience.

CurrentWare Client

This component is installed on all managed computers. The CurrentWare Clients establish communication with the CurrentWare Server for policy updates and data logs. The client is password protected, can’t be manipulated by end users and runs in stealth mode
