Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication provides extra security in case anyone other than you attempts to log in to your CurrentWare web console using your account. During your login, you will need to complete two separate steps for authentication:
  1. Enter your CurrentWare operator account and password
  2. Authenticate your login using an authenticator app (i.e. Google Authenticator) or using a mobile device with SMS OTP.

Two-factor authentication makes it harder for an unauthorized person to access your account. Even if someone else learns your CurrentWare password, they won’t be able to log in without the second step.

CurrentWare supports to the following authentication modes for the web console:

  1. Authenticator app (i.e. Google App, Authy, etc)
  2. SMS
